About this opportunity

We received grants for early career researchers to attend a research workshop in Turkey, entitled 'Latest technologies for crop improvements'.

The British Council under the Newton Fund Researcher Links programme will sponsor the workshop on the above theme in Antalya, Turkey on 22-26 February 2015. The workshop is being coordinated by Prof. Mahmut Tör from the University of Worcester, UK and Prof. Hikmet Budak from the Sabancı University, Turkey. 

All travel and accommodation expenses will be covered by the Newton Fund Researcher Links programme.

Eligibility

Applicants must be early career researchers based in either the UK or Turkey. There is no restriction on nationality.

Early career researchers are defined as holding a PhD (or having equivalent research experience) and having up to 10 years post-PhD research experience. They are equivalent to the ‘Recognised Researcher’ and sometimes ‘Experienced Researcher’ categories in the EU framework for researchers’ careers. Consideration will be given to researchers with more than 10 years post-doc experience that have taken extended career breaks.
